When Arnaldo Benetti founded the company almost 50 years ago, he used to say “I’m off to make swarf” to tell his family he was going to work. For him and his collaborators making swarf meant one thing only: work. And the more swarf was produced, it meant that all the more work had been done and that work was increasing. Swarf therefore took on a special importance and a positive meaning: it was not synonymous with waste, but synonymous with work. Swarf meant work and growth for our family and for many other families in the area.

Today, thanks to this long experience and know-how and the constant search for innovation, the swarf produced by Colben is plentiful and of various types: we have blue, violet, gold and silver swarf depending on the material processed. In fact, we process all types of special metals and alloys, even the rarest and most precious ones: superalloys, superduplex stainless steel, SMO, titanium, to name but a few. That is why we call ourselves a swarf boutique: because our swarf also comes from materials that are difficult to machine, and because we perform what we call tailor-made machining for our customers, which not all machine processing companies are able to perform.

Colben specialises in one-off and large series milling and boring machine processing on any type of metal or alloy material, of generic and special structure.
